Councils are turning to CCTV cameras and spy cars to raise £312m in revenue, that’s according to Traffic Spies, a report published by civil liberties group, Big Brother Watch. Using a series of freedom of information requests, the group has discovered that many councils are continuing to use CCTV to hand out fines, despite the government’s Surveillance Camera Code of Practice, which highlights the need to use CCTV for traffic offences “sparingly”. McLaren Automotive has today announced the launch of the McLaren Special Operations division, which will be responsible for the delivery of bespoke projects for McLaren sports cars. The division celebrated its launch with an example of the new MP4-12C, finished in Volcano Orange with a number of bespoke carbon upgrades, at the 2011 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. Bespoke designs featuring on the vehicle are diamond cut finish wheels with gloss black inners, MP4-12C branded carbon sill panels, a carbon steering wheel, front wheelarch louvres and carbon fiber engine cover vents, rear deck vent and wiper system cover.
The 2013 Jaguar F-Type is due to be revealed in two days at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, but ahead of that we have a full set of photos. Last week we had the first leak of a Jaguar F-Type photo (quickly followed by an official version of the same photo from Jaguar), and this morning we have a full set of photos of the new F-Type, courtesy of Teamspeed. What we get this time is the F-Type on the road, and a shot of the F-Type’s interior too – which looks very ‘modern’ Jaguar.
